New Lupin TV Series Confirmed
|The weekly LUPIN the Third ~Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna~ (Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine) anime TV series will premiere on the NTV network at 1:29am on April 4. The 13 episode series will be the first weekly Lupin III anime in 27 years. Sayo Yamamoto (Michiko to Hatchin) will direct, marking the first time a female director has helmed any Lupin anime. Redline director Takeshi Koike will serve as animation director and character designer. Mari Okada (AnoHana) will provide series composition. The series will reportedly be set during the yearly days of the Lupin gang, highlighting the “sensuality” of Monkey Punch’s original manga.
