New Lupin TV Series Next Month?

The Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills theater in Tokyo will host a Lupin III 40th anniversary publicity event on the 18th. According to advance advertising, the event will include a formal announcement of a new Lupin III television series premiering in April.

The NTV television network announced in April 2011 that a new Lupin III TV series was in development, but the network later revised the statement, saying that it was referring to the 2011 TV movie, not a multi-episode series. Last January the official Lupin III website announced that a “new project” would launch this spring.
