New Manga Publisher Established

Publishers Weekly has reported that former DC Comics vice-president Rich Johnson and Borders Group graphic novel buyer Kurt Hassler (who will leave the Borders Group on November 27th) are assembling a publishing line named “Yen Press” for the Hachette Book Group. Yen Press will focus on publishing licensed manga, but will also publish a wide variety of comics including original manga, original American comics and graphic novels, webcomics, licensed adaptations and children’s works.
