New St. Seiya?

A camcorder recording of the fan produced St. Seiya Hades saga anime clip produced by French artist Oliver Gilbert has made its way onto the net. This short animation clip was created and premiered at the recent Toulon Cartoonists Festival as an effort to convince Toei Studios to revive the St. Seiya franchise specifically for die-hard European fans. Gilvert revealed in an interview with Jose Rene Ruiz Lainez that Gilvert’s animation company is interested in purchasing the license to create their own new St. Seiya anime should Toei Studios decide not to revive the franchise. Apparently St. Seiya creator Masami Kurumada personally owns the franchise rights to the title and happens to be a personal friend of Oliver Gilbert.
