New Super Radical Gag Family Anime Announced

Publisher Akita Shoten has announced the development of a TV series adaptation of Kenji Hamaoka’s current slapstick domestic comedy manga Maido! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku. Hamaoka’s lowbrow comedy manga Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku (Super Radical Gag Family) premiered in 1993 and continued through 31 volumes and spun off a 33-episode anime TV series in 1998. The franchise continued in a 28-volume “Ganso! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku” manga series that ran from 2002-2010. The ongoing “Maido! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku” sequel premiered in 2010.
