New TV Series Coming Soon

Anihabara reports that the third Oja Majo Doremi (Useless Witch Doremi) TV series, titled “Mooootto! Oja-Majo Doremi” will premier next month, and a third You’re Under Arrest TV series (this time featuring stories not based on the manga) will premier in April.

CLAMP’s recent Angelic Layer manga, originally serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace magazine, will soon be an anime TV series. AniMaxis has described the story thus, “Suzuhara Misaki, the cute main character who lost her father and was separated from her mother at a very young age. She moves to Tokyo from Wakayama to live closer to her new middle school. At her new home, she becomes fascinated with a little angel doll, “Angelic Layer.” The angel doll is made out of fiber with a micro-activator inside which makes the doll come to life. It is sold as an egg, which then grows into an angel, which you design yourself (even down to the hairstyle!) as will as their style of fighting.”

Anime Dream has confirmed that a TV series adaptation of Ryouji Minagawa’s best selling Arms manga is in the works. Ryouji Minagawa is best known to Westerners as the co-creator of Spriggan (which Viz re-titled Striker for the American manga release). The action story revolves around young men who have fused their bodies with alien weapons.
