New Word on Japanese DVDs

Takeshi Miike’s bizarre action film City of Lost Souls (AKA: Hazard City) will be available on domestic DVD on November 12, and his horror/musical Happiness of the Katakuris will be released on American DVD on January 14th, 2003, both from Chimera Entertainment. Both DVDs will include 16×9 enhanced widescreen transfers with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio, making-of featurettes and possibly Miike commentary tracks.

According to Azn Film, it’s rumored that KSS is considering a Japanese 2 disc special edition DVD release of Versus in response to the recently released single disc version of the movie selling out in stores across Japan.
