New Word on St. Tail DVD 2

In response to some fan complaints about the quality of St. Tail DVD volume 1, Tokyopop has revealed detail on disc 2 that should please even the most die-hard fans.

St. Tail DVD 2 will restore the original uncut, unaltered Japanese opening and ending animation sequences, complete with the proper Japanese vocal songs and the original Japanese text! In fact, there will be no digital editing whatsoever in DVD volumes 2 on up. All Japanese text will be “soft subbed” on the DVDs.

Beginning with DVD volume 2, Tokyopop is aiming for the best possible image quality, opting for gold DVD-9 discs rather than standard DVD-5 discs. Furthermore, DVD volumes 2- will not utilize Macrovision copy protection (which has an impact on image quality), and no “edge enhancement.”

Beginning with DVD volume 2, each disc will include 4 episodes.
