Nintendo Announces its New System

Nintendo has revealed the first details about its rumored new video game system scheduled for release this winter. The “Nintendo DS (Dual Screen)” will be a handheld system featuring two separate 3 inch backlit screens and two separate processors. The dual screen concept can eliminate the need to toggle between different screens, and will open new perspectives on gaming. Furthermore, the system will not use either Gameboy style cartridges or Gamecube style optical discs. Nintendo DS software will run off “semiconductor memory of up to 1 Gigabit.”
