Nintendo to Produce Anime

In early September, former Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi announced his hope that Nintendo would move into the animation production business. According to The Magic Box quoting from the Nihon Keizai Newspaper, the Nintendo board of directors has agreed with Yamauchi’s proposal. Nintendo will formally begin producing anime with accompanying video game tie-ins in 2006.
