NISA Acquires AnoHana

NIS America has announced its domestic acquisition of the 2011 Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai anime television series. The 11 episode series will be released in a subtitled DVD/BD combo with limited edition slipcase and hardcover illustration book retailing at $69.99 on July 3. The series will be distributed domestically with the abbreviated title “anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.” The affecting drama from studio A-1 Pictures, writer Mari Okada (Toradora), and director Tatsuyuki Nagai (Toradora) revolves around a group of teenage friends who separately grieve over a tragedy that occured ten years prior.

This release should be a must-own for every fan that appreciates outstanding anime.
