NISA Acquires Love Live! School Idol Project

NIS America has announced its acquisition of domestic home video rights to next year’s Love Live! School Idol Project bishoujo slice-of-life television series. The anime series extension of the multimedia franchise created by Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works is the story of girls at a high school scheduled to close who decide that they can save their school if they become a popular singing group. Un-Go & Accel World episode director Takahiko Kyogoku is directing the show at Sunrise for a January 8 premiere. Crunchyroll will stream the series internationally.
