A 69 Meg PC demo version of the anime inspired action game Oni has been posted online for download by The Adrenaline Vault.

Dave Clark was kind enough to alert us of a 75.5mb demo version of Oni for Macintosh users available through Macgamer.com. The Mac demo is carbonized for those using OSX.

Dark Horse Comics will be releasing a comic book adaptation of the game starting February 14th. The artist Sonny Lee commented about the anime/manga style of the game, “Because the book’s look is supposed to have more of the animé feel than manga, I’ve also studied a bit of Macross and Macross Plus, Ninja Scroll, Gatchaman, and some Satoshi Urushara from Plastic Little animé.” “And there are a whole slew of other sources from the many comics I’ve read and many more artists that I’ve studied both in American and Japanese comics that just brought this together. But for some parts, it was just up to references provided that I’ve had to interpret on my own — or with my own vivid and distorted imagination.”
