Onigamiden Trailer

The homepage for Studio Pierrot’s upcoming fantasy adventure film Onigamiden has added a streaming trailer. The adaptation of Takafumi Takada’s two volume novel about a war between humans and oni (demons) in Kyoto during the Heian era will hit Japanese theaters on April 29.

Pierrot’s Kumo no You ni, Kaze no You ni and Fushigi Yuugi have certainly proven that the studio can do historical fantasy. And Naruto has proven beyond any doubt that the studio can produce stellar action. So I’m hoping for the best when this trailer gives me a mixed impression.
