Opening A Day
To refresh your memory or introduce you to an interesting opening animation sequence, I offer the opening of last year’s Seitokai no Ichizon TV series from 2006. The theme song is “Treasure” sung by the Hekiyou Gakuen Seitokai.

Wasn’t Seitokai no Ichizon a 2009 series? (you say “last year” but then you say “2006”)
But yeah, I watched the series last year and I liked the OP. Pretty catchy.
And Aaron, I’ve seen the wind thing in lots of anime OPs and EDs, or even during dramatic moments in episodes. I guess there’s just something aesthetically pleasing about how it looks.
