Otaku Show & Tell Part 1
|I haven’t made a large purchase of anime collectables in a lengthy span. Moreover, since I’ll be attending the small Tampa area Necronomicon convention as a dealer two weeks from now, I wanted to place a large order with Japanese second-hand anime merchandise vendor Mandarake. Part of the fun of being a fan is sharing one’s enthusiasm, so here’s a recording of the first unboxing of the six boxes that my large order shipped in.
As an addendum, I thought that Mandarake has switched to shipping in smaller boxes. I was wrong. The shipping boxes are still the same size. So I just misjudged the amount of space that my order would consume, thus I wildly misjudged the express delivery shipping cost.
Second addendum: the oddly placed Urusei Yatsura poster behind me is there to block incoming light from glaring on the camera lens.
