Prototype “Gundam” Motorcycle Created

Mobile Suit Gundam mechanical designer Kunihiko Oogawa has designed a prototype sci-fi styled motor scooter built by Honda called “Zoomer.” Although not directly based on any existing manga or animation, the one-of-a-kind motor scooter shows distinct traces of designer Oogawara’s roots in Gundam mecha. Oogawara also created a futuristic rider suit to match the bike, but the helmet was not created out of concerns over its practical safety design. The Zoomer cycle will be on display at the C3 exhibition in Tokyo August 24th & 25th.
