Returner Finally Getting US Release

Released to Japanese theaters over a year ago, and licensed for American distribution by Columbia Tri-Star Films in August 2002, Takashi Yamazaki’s live action sci-fi/action film (think 50% Independence Day, 50% The Terminator) Returner will finally see an American theatrical premier on October 17th in Los Angeles and New York, expanding to wider release later on. The theatrical distribution will be handled by Samuel Goldwyn Films & Destination Films with home video release through Columbia TriStar Home Video. According to Yahoo Movies, the film will be released to American theaters with its original Japanese language and English subtitles.
