Sakura Dairies Clarification

In response to the relatively massive fandom debate over supposed editing in AD Vision’s release of Sakura Dairies, AD Vision, who had previously stated simply that there was no editing done to the US release, apparantly learned that there are actually two different versions of Sakura Tsushin available in Japan. AD Vision stated:

“There are two different versions. Of course I think we’d all guessed that by now. ADV has the TV version which is different than the LD release. So if you want to see it as it was originally broadcast, this is the only way to get it. The TV version was put together BEFORE the LDs were done. At the moment it appears that at the time they hadn’t decided to change it for the LDs yet. We are talking to them about the other version.”

In fact, the AD Vision version is uncut and unedited, but fans familiar with the slightly more “ecchi” LD version, not realising that two versions existed, assumed that AD Vision had altered their release. Hopefully AD Vision’s clarification will clear the air.
