Sales Stats for GameCube Revealed

Nintendo has revealed that the company shipped 700,000 GameCube units to retailers in time for launch day, and an average of 330,000 of those units sold to consumers on the first day of availability, bringing in $98 million in sales in a single day. Nintendo expects the initial shipment of GameCube units to be sold out by this weekend. The company expects to ship 100,000 units each week during the holiday season for a total of 1.2 million units shipped by year’s end.
