Satelight to Animate Vanadis

Anime studio Satelight is now developing an anime TV series adaptation of Tsukasa Kawaguchi’s light novel series Madan no Ou to Vanadis. The sword & sorcery story stars a young man taken prisoner by one of his world’s seven “Vanadis,” the powerful female warlords that rule the world. The light novel series premiered in 2011. Its 8th book was released last May. Uchuu no Stellvia & Mouretsu Pirates director Tatsuo Sato will direct the TV series for an October premiere.
