“For God knows why” indeed. Bad anime is a fact of life, but this show is inexcusable.
I may not be God, but I know why Horizon is getting another season, and possibly many more: it’s the third-best-selling show of the winter season, despite some terrible reviews. Go figure.
The first episode was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen, but I still watched the second one because many people familiar with the novels said the first episode was just an introduction to the characters, and that the show would get better once the plot really got going. Even with the few snippets of plot development, I still thought it was an ugly mess.
