Sengoku Basara Drama Announced

The live-action Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party- live-action television series will premiere on the MBS network on July 12, airing weekly at 1:25 am. Actor/singer GACKT will headline the program, starring as Oda Nobunaga. GACKT will also sing the program’s ending theme, “Hakuro.” Kento Hayashi (Arakawa Under the Bridge) will star as Date Masamune. Kohei Takeda (Kamen Rider Kiva) will play Sanada Yukimura. Capcom’s hit Sengoku Basara action game has previously spawned two anime TV series adaptations and an anime feature film.

I’m aware that the anime turned this franchise into a joke, but a live-action adaptation feels like it’s taking the joke too far.
