Sentai Acquires Tamako Market & Psychic Detective Yakumo

Sentai Filmworks has formally announced its acquisition of the 2010 Psychic Detective Yakumo (Shinrei Tantei Yakumo) television series. The suspense mystery series revolves around a college student with the ability to see spirits. The complete 13-episode series will be released on subtitled DVD later this year.

Sentai has also acquired this month’s Tamako Market television series, the new mo&eacute slice-of-life show from the core staff of the K-On! anime franchise. The 12-episode series will premiere on Japanese television this Thursday. Sentai will release the series on domestic home video later this year.

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo was decent, although not as good as I hoped it would be. It’s not as good as Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo. Tamako Market looks like it may be fun.
