Shaolin Soccer Confirmed for US Release

According to Ain’t It Cool News, Stephen Chow’s smash hit HK action/comedy film Shaolin Soccer will be released in relatively wide release to American movie theaters on April 5, 2002. The film is about a team of Shaolin Monks that compete in a soccer tournament and use the virtually mystical kung-fu powers to assist their game. The film makes extensive use of CG special effects to create “supernatural” soccer games.
