Status Report on Ghost in the Shell 2

Studio Proteus has confirmed that Masamune Shirow is presently over 180 pages into his “Western” version of the Ghost in the Shell 2: Man Machine Interface manga. Shirow is “flopping” the pages to read from left to right, and making many other “subtle changes.”

While no specific release date for the first 36 page American comic book translation has been established yet Studio Proteus claims that it may hit American comic book stores as early as next summer.
