Studio Ghibli Announces New Production

Studio Ghibli has announced that Kazuo Oga, background art director for films including Totoro & Princess Mononoke, will direct “Taneyamagahara no Yoru” (Night of Taneyamagahara), an anime adaptation of a play written by Kenji Miyazawa in 1924. The movie will open in Japanese theaters on July 7th, probably as a double feature with Tales of Earthsea, which is also scheduled to open theatrically in July.
