Success at Video Games Leads to Success in Life?

A study conducted by the British government has concluded that video games may actually be good for you. Over the past two decades, various studies have alternately found video games to be a negative and violent influence, or a non-influence. This most recent study has determined that children who become addicted to games may actually be more intelligent than the average child. The ten year study determined that “computer ‘geeks’ who had been hooked on games for at least five years were highly intelligent, motivated and achieving people, but often misunderstood.” Furthermore, “a follow-up study five years later found that they [the subjects] generally had done well educationally, gone on to to college and then into better than average jobs.”
