Tak Sakaguchi Directing Live Action Otoko Juku Movie

Actor and cinematic fight choreographer Tak Sakaguchi (Versus, Death Trance) will make his screenwriting and directorial debut with a live action film adaptation of Akira Miyashita’s martial arts action manga Sakigake!! Otoko Juku. Sakaguchi himself will play the role of series protagonist Momotaro. The film is currently in production and planned for Japanese release early next year.

Toei adapted the Otoko Juku manga into an anime television series and theatrical movie in 1988 to follow on the heels of the Hokuto no Ken anime.
