Tampa Area Newspaper Ranks Spirited Away Best of 2002

Tampa Bay Area (home to AnimeNation) independent newspaper Weekly Planet has published film critic Lance Goldenberg’s picks for the top 10 films of 2002. Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away sits in the coveted top spot as the best film of 2002. Goldenberg says of the film, “Spirited Away is a true modern classic… Hopefully, Miyazaki’s masterpiece should eventually enjoy a long and happy life on DVD, a format where it’s all but sure to find the respect it so richly deserves.”
