Toei Establishes American License Management Office

Animation World Network has reported that Toei Animation has launched an American licensing division through its Los Angeles office. The new operation will make its official debut at the New York International Licensing Show to be held June 19-21. Similar to companies including Kadokawa USA and Shopro Entertainment, Toei’s domestic licensing division will apparently not directly distribute products to consumers. Rather, Toei’s domestic licensing division will promote and arrange licensing contracts between its Japanese parent company and American distribution companies.
