Toei Releases Pretty Cure in America
The first two episodes of the original Pretty Cure television series, officially subtitled by Toei Animation, are now available for commercial download at $1.99 each from Direct2Drive. 4Kids Entertainment acquired North American distribution rights to the Futari wa Precure series in February 2006 but never released in show.
Toei Animation also now distributes the first 15 episodes of the Digimon Adventure 02 television series, dubbed subtitled in English despite being labeled as “dubbed in English,” through Direct2Drive at $1.99 per episode.
Where are the DVDs? Give me a hard copy!

I’ll second the motion for a physical media release. I will not pay over $100 to download a series and I will not spend $0.01 on a download that is crippled with DRM so that when something goes wrong (D2D goes out of business, Toei pulls D2D’s licnese, etc.) I’m stuck with a file that won’t play.
