Tomehane! Suzuri Koko Shodobu Drama in Development

A Japanese hiring ad has issued a call for extras to appear in a live action television series based on Katsutoshi Kawai’s lighthearted school drama manga Tomehane! Suzuri Koko Shodobu. The acclaimed manga series stars Yukari Oe, a high school girl who returns to Japan from Canada to discover that her school’s calligraphy club is in danger of being abolished due to lack of members. The manga series premiered in 2007, and its fifth collected volume is scheduled for Japanese release on the 30th.
