Toonami Announcements

According to Saiyanz Rage, Outlaw Star will be returning to the Toonami midnight run on Monday, July 23rd at 12:30 AM and will carry on into August. Apparently the odds of an evening (5-7 PM) repeat of Outlaw Star is very slim as The Cartoon Network prefers to use that time slot as a showcase for new programing. Older titles including Outlaw Star, Sailormoon and Gundam W will be recycled in the midnight run in the coming months, though.

The re-mastered, digitally “updated” original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam TV series will premier on Toonami at 5 PM Eastern Time on July 23rd. The first of the 13 Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team OAVs will debut in the US on Toonami at midnight on the 23rd. Both series will initially be broadcast through August.
