Toriko Chiya’s Clover to Get Live-Action Movie

A live-action feature film adaptation of Toriko Chiya’s 1997-2011 romance manga Clover will hit Japanese theaters on November 1. The film, directed by Takeshi Furusawa (Another, Avec Punch) stars Emi Takei (Rurouni Kenshin) and KANJANI Eight pop group member & actor Tadayoshi Okura. The original manga revolves around a young adult woman still obsessed with her childhood love who opens up to romance when her boss confesses his attraction to her.

Chiya’s ongoing sequel manga series, Clover trèfle, premiered in 2012.
