According to Entertainment industry trade magazine Variety, “Warner Bros. Pictures is negotiating with Frank Miller and Geoff Darrow for the feature rights to their 1992 comic book ‘Hard Boiled,’ with David Fincher attached to direct and Nicolas Cage to star,” “a sci-fi story about a killer robot that thinks he’s a tax collector.”
