Toynami News Update

An update to the Toynami FAQ page has provided some new information about the plans of the young merchandising company. Toynami will soon be releasing three 12″ Tenchi Muyo action dolls of Tenchi, Ryoko and Ayeka. These will be the only Tenchi Muyo products that Toynami produces. Along the same lines, the SD Capcom vs SNK Keychains Toynami will produce will be the only merchandising Toynami releases under the Capcom vs SNK license. Toynami is looking to license Tekken Tag and Dead or Alive 2 merchandising right, though. Regarding the just announced line of “Masterpiece” Macross toys, Toynami has stated, “The Masterpiece Collection will be a series of toys that represent the culmination of the Robotech enthusiast’s portfolio. Although we cannot give away too much about this great product line as of yet, we can say that the Masterpiece Collection will be the highest quality and most detailed transforming collectable series that has ever come out, anywhere. We are tentatively planning ten different editions of the Masterpiece Collection. The first five Masterpiece Collections will be veritechs. The rest are currently undetermined.
