Udon Acquires Silent Möbius

Udon Entertainment has announced its acquisition of English language distribution rights to Kia Asamiya’s supernatural sci-fi adventure manga series Silent Möbius. Asamiya’s original 12 volume manga series premiered in 1991. Viz published the core series in English from 1991 through early 2003 with portions of the original monochrome art rendered in color. The manga also spawned a Playstation game, two theatrical anime movies, and a 26 episode anime television series.

Udon’s “Complete Edition” will features a new translation, color illustrations, character profiles, interviews, and pages in monochrome or color as they were originally published in Japan. Udon’s plans call for a publication of the original 12 volume series plus the the two-volume Silent Möbius Tales series and the single volume Silent Möbius Klein volume never previously published in English.

The first 200 page volume of Silent Möbius: Complete Edition will go on sale at $14.99 this August.
