Uncut Shaolin Soccer & Subbed Spirited Away in US Theaters?

According to a report from last weekend’s Dragon Con, Miramax has again re-edited Shaolin Soccer, this time restoring footage, adding back in deleted scenes, and restoring most of the original music. Apparently the latest American edit of Shaolin Soccer is a production that fans of Asian cinema can be pleased with. Unfortunately the film is not scheduled for mainstream American release until next spring.

The Ain’t It Cool News article that reprints this report is also interesting in the regard that editor Harry Knowles claims that Buena Vista will be releasing a subtitled print of Spirited Away to limited American theatrical release.
