Upcoming American Releases

AnimeTrax has announced its first selection of domestic anime soundtracks including re-issues of previous American releases, and new CDs for the American market. On July 23rd, the Akira original soundtrack & Sin: The Motion Picture soundtrack will go on sale for $14.98 each. The Macross II original soundtrack will follow on August 28th and also retail for $14.98.

The first Irresponsible Captain Tylor OAV, commonly referred to as the Captain Tylor movie, will hit DVD on July 31st. Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA Series DVD 1: An Exceptional Episode will include the 105 minute “movie,” along with several music video segments featuring the cast and will retail for $29.95. The second OAV series DVD will contain all 6 “character portrait” OAV episodes on a single DVD disc and also retail for $29.95.
