Updates on DVD Audio Track Flaws
|Central Park Media has clarified some of the details regarding the Japanese audio problems some purchasers have had with the Slayers DVD boxed set. Apparently there is no actual “defect” in the discs. The discs have been authored specifically for Dolby Digital audio set-up, so people using other high-end audio systems may experience some problems with the sound during playback. Anime on DVD has posted a detailed report on the Japanese audio for the DVDs.
Media Blasters has directly announced the audio defect some purchasers have experienced with the first Rurouni Kenshin TV series DVD. They report that the reason behind the delay in the release of the second disc has been to enable them to insure the quality of the second disc before its release. They will be re-printing the first disc to correct the audio problem in the first pressing volume 1 discs, so customers that have experienced audio flaws in the first DVD can be assured of receiving a corrected exchange disc from Media Blasters.
