US Assault Girls Remake Possible?
Director Mamoru Oshii has confirmed that at least one unspecified Hollywood film production outfit has inquired about obtaining the rights to produce an American re-make of his upcoming sci-fi action film Assault Girls. Oshii has reportedly said that he’s not opposed to the possibility of an American remake, and would even like to see the film’s Japanese stars – Kikuchi Rinko, Kuroki Meisa, Saeki Hinako – headline an American remake.
Assault Girls hits Japanese theaters on December 19.

There’s already a Hollywood Assault Girls movie. It’s called Tremors. =p
I guess we poor Americans can’t watch a movie and read the subtitles at the same time. ;>) When I went to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon they told me 3 times that it was subtitled. I guess watch anime really paid off. :>)
