Viz Announcements from NY Comic Con
|During this past weekend’s New York Comic Con, Viz Media confirmed plans for a domestic release of the 2004 suspense thriller anime television series Monster, based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa, also published by Viz. Viz Pictures confirmed a domestic DVD release, and possible limited theatrical release, for the live action Death Note spin-off film L: change the WorLd.
Viz Media revealed its acquisition of English language translation and publication rights to creator Rumiko Takahashi’s (Inuyasha, Urusei Yatsura) upcoming new manga serial. The new series, which has not had a title revealed yet, is scheduled to debut Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine later this spring.
Viz announced plans for domestic publications of a number of new publications.
