Wallflower TV Drama Announced
|Bessatsu Friend magazine has announced that a live action TV adaptation of Tomoko Hayakawa’s romantic comedy manga series Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge, known in America as “The Wallflower,” will premiere in January. The contemporary bishonen manga interpretation of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion premiered in 2000 and has 24 compiled volumes in Japan so far. The story was adapted into a 25 episode anime television series 2006.
