Waseda University to Offer English Language Course on Anime

This month Tokyo’s Waseda University will begin offering liberal arts international courses, taught primarily in English. One of the courses is titled “Manga and Anime: Expressions of Japanese Culture and Society.” The course will feature guest lectures from Japanese animation industry professionals, and is aimed at establishing an understanding and appreciation of contemporary Japanese art and culture through examination of Japanese manga and anime art.
