Watch Street Fighter: Legacy
The Capcom sanctioned short fan film Street Fighter: Legacy is now available for viewing. Co-directors Joey Ansah & Owen Trevor have put together and admirable 3 minute film that’s tremendously more faithful to its inspiration and more exciting than either of Hollywood’s multi-million dollar Street Fighter movies. Short “Designing the Fights” and “Costume Design” documentary vignettes follow below.

The fight is fun to watch… but the context still makes this presentation extraordinarily corny. Yeah, two familiar martial artists happen to run into one another in a conveniently open forested area, Let’s Fight! Fun with cool and smart coordination, but there’s a reason why it’s a videogame to begin with.
I can, however, recall Jean-Claude Van Damme taking on Raul Julia with vivid clarity… woah boy, that was fun.
