It was “Battle of the Planets” when I first watched it, not “G-Force,” or “Eagle Riders.” I didn’t have a chance to see “Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman” until twenty years later.

me too! also i did watch when came on tv years later as Eagle Riders and ask why their change the name and didnt was it Japanese until around 2000 . and did wonder what G stood for for now i know ! haha and one fact since already been loves videogames too ! i love the fact “Battle of the Planets” characters included in this fighting videogame Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and got both Japanese and U.S. copy of for Wii
When I was a kid it hit so many of my buttons it was like a pachinko machine hitting fever. My fandom started with SPEED RACER but BATTLE OF THE PLANETS kept me in it. I bought ROBOTECH ART 1 in part because of the information about BATTLE OF THE PLANETS in the closing chapter.
