X-Box to be Delayed for Japanese Launch?

While Microsoft continues to stand by its assertion that the X-Box will launch simultaneously in the US and in Japan this fall, industry analysts and speculators are predicting that Microsoft may have to delay the Japanese launch until early 2002 due to virtually non-existant Japanese support for the system. Microsoft claims that Japanese developers including Namco, Capcom, Konami, Bandai, Hudson, and Tecmo have all signed on to create software for the system, but so far only Konami has committed to specific titles including Metal Gear Solid X (a port of the PS Metal Gear Solid) and Silent Hill X.
